Recently I watched a podcast where Anka wore a shirt that said “2027 – The Year that Everything Changes.” It turns out that 2027 is when aliens (the kind from other planets) will be revealed in a big way. To get us ready, we are being introduced to that idea, but very gently, with a drip-drip–drip of information about UFOs, alien encounters, and “proof” of the matrix. He says the aliens do not want to scare us with a sudden change to our sense of safety.
What does this have to do with ACIM? Just this. Think about how Jesus gently leads us through the Workbook. One of his primary goals is to not scare us because a mind in fear cannot accept new ideas. “Change is always fearful to the separated.” T-4, II, 4:3 (CE)
Maybe the aliens read the Course because Bashar says they are concerned that the important knowledge they have to share will not be received if we view them with fear. He says they have repeatedly tried to pass along advanced information, but we haven’t taken to it.
Doesn’t this sound like our journey with the Course? This year marks the 50th anniversary of the formal publication of A Course in Miracles and yet look at the state of the world. We seem to be a little slow.
No one is saying the zombie apocalypse is coming, but maybe the aliens are and if we double down on our Workbook practice, we might be ready when they come.
